Born in Toronto and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Jesse Cao Long is a Chinese-American actor and writer based in New York. He is currently a third-year MFA Acting student at Columbia University.

Recent theatre credits include The Far Country​ at the Yale Rep; The Travels of Teodor with Red Bull Theater; Fish Meat at the Connelly Theater; A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Flea; and The Deciders with Ma-Yi Theater Company.

Recent film credits include Dongji (Winner, Best Picture, Asian American International Film Festival).

Outside of acting, Jesse has also worked for in-house legal at a tech company, served as a research assistant to an arts professor and dean and to a former NYT arts editor, tutored just about every subject imaginable, and worked at the NYCLU. But every job has only paled to his first, stamping and re-shelving books at a Montgomery County Public Library at age 12.

Jesse holds a BA in History (specializations in Modern East Asia and 20th C. America) from Columbia University. ​He speaks Mandarin fluently.
